At the Institute of Botany we focus our research on the metabolism of plants. Here, both model systems and crop plants are investigated. Currently, three research groups are working in the fields of Sulphur metabolism and abiotic stress, Prof. Dr. Jutta Papenbrock, Plant physiology, Prof. Dr. Thomas Pfannschmidt and Biochemistry of plant specialised metabolites, Prof. Dr. Jakob Franke.

We sadly announce the passing of our colleague, Prof. Dr. Christoph Peterhänsel.

The IDN at the NARST Annual International Conference 2023

This year, the 96th conference of the National Association for Research in Science Teaching (NARST) took place in Chicago (USA) under the title "Reflecting on Reform". 
The IDN was represented by various contributions from Dr. Stefanie Lenzer, Marco Reith, Benjamin Heinitz and Prof. Dr. Andreas Nehring.
